A Willful Woman…

Thoughts about books from a romance addict.

TBR Update

on January 29, 2016

My thoughts on Carved in Stone are now up at Heroes and Heartbreakers.

A 30 year old book about romances and racism… that couldn’t still be relevant, right?!

    Of course not! /end sarcasm

  2. Valancy says:

Oh my – you totally had me at ‘heroine is a romance author’ cos I immediately flash back to Kathleen Turner in Romancing the Stone…and then I remember Michael Douglas… (*flails wildly*)

  3. I’m with Valancy, Romancing the Stone is what I immediately flashed to as well.

But I can see how the meta aspect would detract.

Miss Bates Reads Romance

“Miss Bates…had never boasted either beauty or cleverness. Her youth had passed without distinction, and her middle of life was devoted to the care of a failing mother, and the endeavour to make a small income go as far as possible. And yet she was a happy woman..." Emma, Jane Austen
