Who The Heck Am I?

I’m striking out the original beginning of this page, because almost none of it is still true and I’ve also realized it’s inappropriate to use the word “refugee”in that way. I’m still an avid romance reader, that’s about it. 🙂

I’m an avid romance reader and a sad GoodReads refugee. I write book review at Dear Author (update: as of 3/24/15, I no longer write for DA), Heroes and Heartbreakers, and Karen Knows Best, and blather on Twitter. This is my space for writing about whatever takes my fancy.

I sometimes accept books for review; if the source of a review book is not indicated, it was either a personal copy or came from the public library. I am currently moving away from accepting review copies because of the stress involved.

I do not engage in any form of quid pro quo or accept any review book that comes with conditions. Anything that I write anywhere on the internet is there solely because I chose to write it. I am (was) paid a small amount for my writing at “Heroes and Heartbreakers” and “Dear Author,” but my posts about books are always based on my own opinions. I’m not paid for any other writing.
