Ideas For My 2017 Reading
If there’s one good thing about the current political climate, it’s that I’ve gotten back into historical romance. Yay escapism! So my 2017 plan is to focus on my favorite historical authors whose complete output I haven’t finished:
Laura Kinsale, Patricia Gaffney, Judith Ivory, Jo Goodman, Susan Carroll, Connie Brockway, Mary Balogh, Edith Layton.
I’m going to focus less on cleaning out my print books because I’m paranoid and worry about not being able to access my electronic books if some shit hits the fan. If all of it hits, I guess it won’t be an issue.
I have two rules for myself this year:
- Don’t start a fantasy series unless it’s finished. I’ve been regretting not following this plan for a few years now.
- Don’t download any books (including from the library) unless I truly have the time/interest to read them right away.
Notes for myself for those “what to read next?” moments.
